Robinson R22 and R44

Here at NAFA we train in the Robinson R44 and R22 helicopters. The Robinson helicopters are, without a doubt the best piston helicopters in the world. They have sold in record numbers, and have more safety features than any other piston helicopter. The R44 is the largest, most powerful, reliable, and roomy piston helicopter available today. Why sacrifice comfort, speed, reliability, or usefulness when training?

Our Robinson R44 is the lowest price instrument equipped R44 avaiable for training in the country. It is equipped with a Garmin GPS, KX-155, HSI combination. When training at our flight school, students have the choice of the larger 4 place helicopter, or the more economical 2 place trainer.

When compared over a private pilot license, the cost difference between training in the R44 versus smaller 2 place helicopters (such as the Schweizer) is not as much as one would think. An even more cost effective solutions is to train in the R22.

You will be surprised at how economical it can be training a Robinson helicopter with our Boston and Southern New Hampshire flight school. Many of our students who are not pursuing helicopters as a career choice take 1 or 2 lessons a week on their own schedule.
